Barstools come in several styles. If you've ever been to a retailer of barstools or restaurant furniture, you probably know that many barstools stick with the traditional stool design, while others look like tall chairs. This, of course, depends on the use for the set of stools. Some, such as adjustable and swivel stools at a counter, are stationary in location but pub-style stools - the ones that look like tall chairs - need to be moved around for seating purposes. In addition, the style you're going for only includes some types of barstools. For example, chrome-colored adjustable barstools may be at home at a retro-style diner counter but not at an upscale bistro with contemporary style.
The kitchen is pretty apparent. At kitchen counters and places where there can be a lot of foot traffic but not enough floor spaces, barstools tuck in neatly and clear up all the room that's needed. A den, too, is often crowded. Using a counter height table with barstools (or adjustable barstools), the space problem is easily solved. In many modern apartments, however, rent is high and space is low; the living and dining rooms might have the same space problem. Bringing some comfortable and stylish barstools into these rooms can do wonders for all those banged up ankles and bumping knees.
